Artur Sargsyan was implement a number of successful projects, the first one being a mega-popular comedy movie Mer Bak (Our Backyard).

Later, Mer Bak had three sequences where Artur appeared as an actor. He is highlighted not only by his brilliant acting but also his pro-activeness in producing work, considering the fact that independent Armenian cinema was making its first steps in movie production, and producing was not the phenomenon we know today. Many of his character's expressions would later become winged phrases, which proves once again, that Artur won the viewers’ hearts.
